A Frog and No Mice
Today was the first day I enjoyed at work in a long time.
To celebrate, I took a walk in the beautiful, sunny winter afternoon to go birthday present shopping for my mom. It was cold, but the sun made it enjoyable. I love crisp winter days like this! I walked home on the canal and stopped for the first beavertail I've eaten in years. By the time I got about halfway home, the sun disappeared and it got damn cold! I kept clenching my hands into fists to keep the blood flowing. No regrets...it was a fab way to end a day!
This weekend was chill and fun. On Friday night, Lindsay and Sean came over, along with Theo and Adina. Between us, we talked through half the night and 3 bottles of wine. We also survived a random mini earthquake.
I knitted a hat on Saturday (!!) only to frog it (knitspeak for 'tear up') because it was too big in a goofy way. On Sunday I started it again. I studied for my English midterm (do cue cards work for English like they work for Psych?) and we went to Matt's for Vero's birthday bash. Fun was had by all!
Added bonus: no mouse sighting since Friday night around midnight.
