Lost Love Rekindled

Last night after watching the three action-packed hours of King Kong, lyrics to a song popped into my head. I did a quick brain scan to figure out what they could be and I realized that the song was “Where Do All My Friends Go” by Oingo Boingo (or as SpellCheck suggests: Bingo Bongo. Thanks for all your hard work, SpellCheck). This morning I’m listening to the boys on random and reliving all the great times we had together. Mainly they involved me in the car, singing along with Danny or trying to convert people by singing into a spoon with one or two well-timed RockStar kicks. I am disappointed to report no converts but fun was had by most. I remain in debt to the Ghostbusters II soundtrack that introduced me to “Flesh ‘n’ Blood” and opened up a whole new world of musical sound to me.

In News on My Life:

ENGAGEMENT PARTY A HIT!
It kind of blew my mind how many people came to spend the afternoon with us. My mom went all out decorating and baking fabu treats and my dad manned the bar and gave a thoughtful and heartfelt speech. Thanks to everyone who came and made the day so unforgettable.

FINAL PAPER COMPLETE!
After chipping away at my paper for two weeks, I hauled arse on Tuesday and Wednesday over lunch and after work and came up with four pages that I’m proud of. Next up: Final Exam on Thursday. Lather, rinse, repeat 11 times and I’ll have my degree!

DOES OVERTIME LEAD TO INSANITY?
Next week will tell if working an extra 1 ½ hours/day leads to me becoming a lunatic. So far, I have found that it leads to shorter evenings and excessive sleepiness. The good news is that Easter falls directly after this time period so recovery should be quick.

Have a great weekend everyone and hey, if you’re in Athens, stop by the Joshua Bates Centre tonight for Joe’s gig. I’ll save you a seat.

Erika.
