Erika Needs...
This is too funny!
Type "YourName Needs" into Google and you get what many have called a Veritable Crystal Ball's worth of information on yourself.
Here are some of my own Needs:
1. Erika needs coffee.
2. Erika needs to eat a steak sandwich while doing sit-ups
3. Erika needs divine healing
4. Erika needs her rest in order to be ready for the Ball.
5. Erika needs to have her own stamps to mail the letters
6. Erika needs to go blonde again
7. Erika needs to sing & work & be clean
8. Erika needs to learn how to open up and trust again, but right now, she is unwilling to risk the hurt than can come with opening yourself up to others. ...
9. Erika needs your help to solve puzzles and create unique gifts to complete each task in the Book of Royalty before time runs out!
10. Erika needs a pick-up each morning
11. Erika needs help: she needs a husband fast
12.Erika needs to keep in line in the house
13.Erika needs Ritalin
14.Erika needs help to defeat demons
Too funny!

Something to look forward to!
This past Monday, while suffering severe turkey hangover (Thanksgiving!), I was complaining to my mom that I have nothing exciting to look forward to after my upcoming trip to BC.
Since I believe that you need to be an interesting, dynamic, thrilling character in the narrative that is your own life, this was a very depressing revelation.
I always forget that excitement lies around most corners, lurking, waiting for…well five days after the perfect moment, to present itself.
The excitement I am referring to is Nanowrimo. This stands for National Novel Writing Month (see: www.nanowrimo.org). It’s a challenge to writers, would-be writers and um... thrill-seekers (?) to write 50,000 words in the month of November.
Last year I did it and I wrote 15,000 words. Woo! This year’s goal is to break that record. If I break 50,000 words down to 250 words/page, I would need to write 10 pages a day. On average. Let’s say I write 3 pages at lunch, that only 7 left to go at night. A little over two hours. So yeah, it’s a helluva time commitment, but it’s totally doable! How many Seinfeld and Friends repeats do I need to see? I’m willing to give that up. Lunch not so much, so we’ll see!

Mom: I'm gonna be juuust fine!!! :)
Today I came across an interesting quote that I feel justifies my sometime capriciousness:
"In skating over thin ice, our safety is in our speed."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I’m embracing this idea.
Erika.
