Simplicity...
Bit of a glum day yesterday but some aimless website hopping led me to a great
poster (by way of Inchmark Journal and ReadyMade Magazine):

It's Nick Dewar's take on wartime art created in the US between 1933 - 1943. Check out Steven Heller's article in ReadyMade magazine for the whole story and to see all 5 posters.
Have a great day,
Erika.

Suspense - 13 More Days!
The days are going really quickly now. There are less than 3 full weeks until my last day at work. That’s only 13 more work days to go.
The other day, I was in the unique position of being on both sides of the interview table within the space of about 5 hours! In the morning, I was on the interview panel for my current position. After the first interview, I went to an interview of my own. When I returned to the office, we conducted another interview.
It’s hard to say how I did in my interview. I feel completely neutral about my performance. I know I didn’t bomb it and I sure didn’t ace it. They’ll let me know either way in the next week or so.
This countdown feels like the last few weeks before high school graduation. The edges of my thoughts are shaded with anticipation for what comes next, exactly the way I felt about summer holidays and (eek!) starting university.
The same questions are zipping through my head now that did when I was 17 – will I still see my friends? What will I do next?
There’s no way to picture what I’m going to face on March 2nd. I can’t predict with any certainty whether I’ll be setting my bag down in a new workstation or job hunting at home (taking a couple of good breaks to the dog park with Cooper). Or some other scenario that I can’t even imagine right now.
It’s an exciting time, full of suspense in the best sense of the word.*
* = Pleasurable excitement and anticipation regarding an outcome, such as the ending of a mystery novel (thanks, Dictionary.com!).
Have a great day...
…and don’t forget to visit the B.Goods cookie truck at Winterlude!!!
