Golden Girls = Sex and the City
I had an epiphany last night...I suppose I had extra room in my brain for such things after finishing my novel! The characters in Golden Girls parallel the characters in Sex and the City (at least on a superficial level).
Bear with me:
Blanche = Samantha (no explanation required)
Rose = Charlotte (naive, optimistic, cute)
Dorothy = Carrie (um...'unique' fashion sense...esp. in Dorothy's case...have you ever seen more flowing robes???)
Sophia = Miranda (wise-crackin')
While waiting for HOUSE to start, I happened to see part of GG last night and Rose was getting an AIDS test (bad transfusion) with Blanche coming as well for moral support. That sorta thing would definitely happen on SATC. In fact, I was reminded of the SATC where Carrie and Miranda see the Dr. to find out the gender of Miranda's baby.
The magnitude of finishing Nanowrimo is hitting...I can't wait to print that 190 page monster!!
