Day 2: semiSLACKER!
Did you know this would happen? I tried to believe it wouldn't but truly, I knew it would: here I am, it's 9 34pm and I haven't written ONE nanowrimo word since lunch.
Yes: it was a brutal, yet rewarding day at work. (No details -- don't wanna get Dooced, right?!)
Yes: I am afflicted with a strange 'every second day' flu that attacked Monday and now today. I can barely drag my carcass across the floor to my laptop, aka nanowrimo central. (Oh: fun fact re: my laptop. Joe programmed it to play 'the final countdown' when warming up and 'goodbye goodbye' while shutting down!)
and Yes: America's Next Top Model was on from 8 -> 9. (But House was on last night and I managed my goal! And Puff Of Logic and Kaz came to watch since their cable isn't hooked up yet. And it was *reeaally* good!))
But those are just excuses. Why am I not typing away like a mad fiend to reach my daily goal? Am I getting cocky with my current daily tally of 953 words? I'm gonna swoop in and spit out 717 words between now and bedtime? Could be...
Yeah...Time to get started -> It's only day two...way too soon to be slackin'!
